Vanuatu is an archipelago located in Oceania situated in the north of Australia. This country is not very famous worldwide and very low populated (there are approximately 260’000 inhabitants in Vanuatu) but is willing to attract foreign investments by practicing a very advantageous tax legislation for non-resident and offshore companies. Besides its financial sector, the archipelago’s economy is based on fishing and tourism but the country is suffering from not having any natural resources available.
At FCBA Offshore Ltd, we do not really advise our clients to neither open an offshore bank account nor to incorporate an offshore company in Vanuatu because of the political instability of the archipelago and the huge time difference between Vanuatu and Europe. But our recommendation would be to wait what will be the future of this jurisdiction and to follow the next economical results of the archipelago which could, if they are positive make Vanuatu a next interesting offshore destination. However, people willing to become a resident of Vanuatu are encouraged to do so as the financial benefits are strong and unique.
